Beyonce is snatching our wigs, again. Literally, this time.
Beyonce launched Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund that will distribute $500,000 yearly for cosmetology scholarships and grants to salon owners in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles and New Jersey.
“Hairstylists have an immense impact on the people in their chairs. They create a sacred space where we can show up how we want and express ourselves through our hair. We’re honored to give back to this amazing community,” reads a statement from the fund.

The fund–a partnership between Beyonce’s charitable foundation BeyGOOD and newly launched haircare line Cécred–“celebrates the influence professional stylists have on hair health and the critical importance of advocating for the salon community.”
The student scholarship will award $10,000 in financial aid scholarships to 25 students annually from the following cosmetology schools: Beaver Beauty Academy in Atlanta, Trenz Beauty Academy in Chicago, Universal College of Beauty in Los Angeles, Franklin Institute in Houston and Janas Cosmetology Academy in New Jersey.
Student stylists must be currently enrolled in the schools above, demonstrate financial need and live in the states where the scholarships are awarded.
Beyonce’s salon grant will dole out $10,000 in business grants to qualifying salons in Chicago, Los Angeles, New Jersey, Atlanta and Houston.
Salon owners must have businesses in those cities, demonstrate a financial need, be a licensed barber or hair stylist for at least two years, have a leasing agreement for salon, booth or chair and be in business for a year.
