Deion Sanders is writing the playbook on financial equity for his Colorado Buffaloes football players.
Coach Prime surprised eight of his players by opening up bank accounts for the kids of the eight players on his team.
Deion Sanders announced the news at a team huddle and had an Elevation Credit Union rep confirm the good news.
“Want y’all to know, ain’t like you’re in trouble,” Sanders said. “You ain’t done nothing wrong. Matter of fact, you did something right. And a child is not a mistake. A child is an opportunity to mature you, grow you, advance you, and give you some skills.
Y’all know how I am about fathering.””You know I would not hire a coach unless he’s a great father. I don’t hire a coach that’s a deadbeat, I don’t hire a coach that’s not taking care of his responsibilities. I would never hire a man that he says he’s going to look after y’all but he won’t look after his. That don’t make sense to me.”
Deion Sanders, as well as Colorado Buffaloes NIL collective: 5430 Alliance teamed up with Elevation Credit Union to open savings accounts totaling $2,121, a nod to Deion’s No. 21 playing days.
Coach Prime sent out bank partnership fillers on August 22nd when he posted on X for any takers.

“I’m looking for a Bank in Boulder or Denver that’s wants to have a business relationship with a few members of our team,” Sanders wrote. “It’s gonna bless whichever Bank that partners with us. Let’s Go.”
Can’t say Coach Prime isn’t standing on business when it comes to his players’ futures.
