Rapper Fetty Wap took part in a glaucoma awareness 5K walk in Philly on March 23rd.
The “Trap Queen” rapper was drawn to the event to support 4 month old Hayze, who was diagnosed with congenital glaucoma.
It’s the same form of glaucoma that afffects Fetty Wap.

According to Renee Visuals, who took pics at the walk, baby Hayze has endured two surgeries and a device implanted in his left eye. Omg poor baby. And all before he turns one?!
Hayze’s family and friends’ aim was to spread awareness about the intense and grueling condition—that is the leading cause of blindness in the Black community—throughout Philly.
Fetty Wap told Hayze’s parents to never allow him to believe his eye is a source of shame but a reminder he is a survivor and brave.
Thankfully, Hayze has a village (including Fetty Wap) cheering him on every step of the way.
