World AIDS Day and Giving Tuesday are having a mashup today, courtesy of a star-studded shopathon to fight the global AIDS epidemic.
The SHOPATHON(RED)–a first for the Global Fund to treat AIDS– extravaganza has three ways you can shop ’til you drop, and give back to those in need.First, you can donate to get up close and personal with your fave celebs. Here are the offerings:
A wellness day with Snoop Dogg in Colorado.
Take a holiday portrait with Shaq. Oh the possibilities with this one..
Hang backstage with The Weeknd. Just don’t touch his hair.
Help Stephen Curry nail his pre-game tunnel shot. Babysitting his daughter Riley would be 100 times better.
Plenty more once-in-a lifetime celeb experiences are on the online platform, Omaze.com/RED.You have until January 21, 2016 to get your bids in.
If that’s not enough incentive to get you to pull out the checkbook. This might. Each donation made, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will match it up to $20 million dollars.
Last but not least, Gilt, the online store, has teamed up with RED to sell over 100 products from brands Alex and Ani, Converse, Fresh, Le Creuset and plenty more. Including limited edition items including a ‘Love Me’ tote from designer Curtis Kulig. A T-shirt from EJ Johnson(yes, Magic’s son) and a (RED) flower bouquet from Farmgirl flowers.
All proceeds go to the global fight to eradicate AIDS.
Let’s shop with a purpose this year guys.
One more thing! Be sure to tune into ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight. He gives his take on the home shopping network with RED products.
Should be fun.
