On the heels of MLK Jr. Day, the hip hop community is getting civic-minded by addressing Flint, Michigan water crisis.

Diddy took to Instagram to pop off on the national emergency (POTUS Obama declared it so.) And urged everyone to “Wake the Fuck up” on the Flint, Michigan water crisis.

The hip hop mogul vowed to throw a water drive through his part-ownership of Aquahydrate to help.

Meanwhile, Meek Mill put his feud with 50 Cent aside to donate $50Gs to Flint. And called out 50 Cent on Instagram to match his amount.

But no amount of groveling (looking at you, Governor Snyder) can make up for 10 Flint residents’ deaths by poisoning. Technically, Legonnaires disease, caused by the city’s tainted water supply.

The city of Flint’s water crisis occurred when switching from Detroit’s water supply to the Flint River in 2014. The erosive pipes were not properly cleaned and the contaminated water–full of lead and iron–reached homes.

To add insult to injury, Flint, Michigan res pay the highest water bills in the country. For water they can’t drink, bathe or cook with. Water that continues to negatively affect kids with rashes and headaches.

If that makes you angry like it does me, we can do three things.

First, find a way to punish those responsible.
