Just when I thought TI was givin’ us enough with that new millennial bop, the King of da South is helping to keep the doors open at Morris Brown college.
TI donated $50,000 to the Historically Black College and University (HBCU) to support the endowment and student scholarship programs, AfroTech reports.
TI’s generosity couldn’t come at a better time as the Atlanta-based college rebuilds after regaining their accreditation in 2021.
Morris Brown’s president Dr. Kevin James announced on Jan. 28th the school received $800,000 in private and public funding.
“As Morris Brown continues its resurgence, we are most appreciative of philanthropic support and will continue to be good ground for people to pour into,” Dr. James said, reports ClutchPoints.

According to AfroTech, U.S. Rep Nikema Williams (GA-05) provided almost a $700,000 grant through Commerce, Justice and Science bill.
The African Methodist Episcopal Church also donated $60,000 to Morris Brown
Funding will go towards campus security, tech upgrades and creating emergency response plans.
