Future and Baby Future’s Holiday Homecoming ! Rapper Throws Toy and Charity Drive in ATL

Santa, take note, my brother. Yes I said brother. Ask about the chocolate Santa come up.

Anyway, he may wanna pull out a pen and pad because Future is giving him a run for his money.

Yesterday, the “Married to the Game” rapper held his fourth annual Winter Wish Land charity and toy drive–through his non-profit, Free Wishes Foundation that encourages kids to dream big.

The ATL kiddies sure did. They piled into Atlanta’s Bessie Branham Park where Future hooked up over 1300 dreamers with some Christmas wishes sans the Santa suit. That doesn’t mean he didn’t have elves…err corporate friends/sponsors.

Like Reebok who partnered with Free Wishes by donating 500 pairs of kicks to the cause.

Samsung doled out free tablets and headphones for the young’uns. Use with caution…

In all 1300 kids walked away with new shoes, coats and toys.

But that’s not all.

Ciara’s baby daddy was all about philanthropy this weekend. Future also attended the UNCF Masked Ball alongside Usher, Tyrese and Jeezy. All three made a gentleman’s pact to donate $25K each to the non-profit supports. Black students journey towards college enrollment.

Future is slaying the giving game this holiday season.

Man Candy Monday | Players Serving Up Holiday Cheer

What better occasion than the holiday season to pull the sheet off of ‘Man Candy Monday’s’ section? None. After all it is the season of giving and it’s high time I give the guys some love.

While everyone is talking about one particular man that made a major fumble–not of the NFL variety, although–on national TV, I’d rather focus on the fellas that scored off the field for charity. Besides, If I see another Steve Harvey meme I won’t have anymore clean underwear. TMI…I know. Sorry.

Chris Bosh took a break from the hardwood to host his 5th annual Santa Bosh Workshop in Miami over the weekend. Local kids gorged on holiday treats, games and took photos with their favorite dinosaur Miami Heat ballplayer for his Team Tomorrow Foundation.

Not to be outdone, OKC Thunder’s Russell Westbrook also played chocolate Santa when he stopped by the City Rescue Mission. The NBA player gave 65 homeless kids new Jordan’s and backpacks. It was one of several good deed missions Westbrook completed through his Why Not? Foundation that aims to motivate kids to ask, “why not?”

Earlier this month, Westbrook took some lucky kids on a Christmas shopping spree on his dime. Annnnd prior to that he swapped nasty school lunches with Subway boxes for the students at Fillmore Elementary School.

Good deeds by good dudes!!

‘The Wiz Live’s’ Shanice Williams and Ja Rule Visit New Jersey Shelter

“The Wiz Live’s” Shanice Williams followed the yellow brick road home to New Jersey on Tuesday.

The Rahway, NJ native paid a visit to Harmony House, “a transitional living facility that helps homeless families find permanent housing,” in Newark to hand out Christmas gifts to local kids. Shanice had some help from “Follow the Rules” star Ja Rule.

The unlikely duo made some kids’ Christmas wishes come true when they each rolled out new bikes for them.

The holiday giveaway was made possible by the Godfather of Soul’s daughter Deanna Brown. Continuing her father’s tradition of toy giveaways through the James Brown Family Foundation whose aim is to help those who are less fortunate.

Judging by the smiling faces and hugs they all met the mark.

Chris Brown Buys a Car for Domestic Violence Victim. Is He Redeemed, Yet?

I felt some type of way about this story. Don’t get me wrong I salute anyone spreading holiday cheer to those who need it most. These days we need all the good vibes we can get. However, I still had to hit the pause button when I read Chris Brown surprised a domestic violence victim with a new whip.

The “Back to Sleep” singer popped up at the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood on Saturday to play Santa to Jessica Roncalli and her three kids. Since a Honda can’t fit under a Christmas tree he tossed her the keys then and there. Along with some gifts for the kids. Then recapped his good deed on Instagram. Writing…

I’ve been very fortunate and blessed with so much in my life and I always thought that it was supposed to be that way. I was selfish, arrogant, and cold hearted. I’m able to bless and inspire so many others and I realize that now. This woman has delt with domestic abuse through her life and her 3 wonderful children had to experience that. I see myself when I looked into their eyes. The amount of strength this woman has is remarkable. I hope I could make their Christmas a great one. I hope the kids love all the toys and things I got for them. And for moms. I hope I could put a smile on this family’s face.

Rafael_the_grand had this take in the comment section, “That is so nice that you got her a new car due to her domestic abuse background, you know kinda like when u beat Rhianna. Did you get her an “im sorry honda” aswell????” Well…

Listen, shade aside it’s worth mentioning that a female abuser rewarding a domestic violence victim is kinda weird. On so many levels. It’s like he purposely put a target on his back knowing his checkered past with violence towards women would welcome shots. Yes, I sympathize with Chris Brown being a victim himself given that he watched his own mother be abused by his stepdad. Thus, repeating the cycle of domestic abuse that’s being proven can occur.

Yet, I’m baffled that he would think we have amnesia towards his post-Rihanna despicable acts like stalking ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran. And treat his good deed like another one to cross off his list.

Chris Brown Gives Away 2,000 Turkeys for Thanksgiving

Or maybe it’s just another coat of paint on his rehab image project since becoming a Daddy to daughter Royalty. Setting a more positive example for her to look up too. After all he has apologized to exes Rihanna and Karrueche for past mistakes.

The question is are we ready to forgive him?
