Happy Halloween Everyone!!! I know we just finished battling an 80 mph, rain-soaked REAL monster by the ironically genial name Sandy that tore through the Eastern Seaboard without mercy (Kudos to all first responders’ that continue to rescue people trapped) and took lives in the process, 62 lives to be exact. We brace ourselves for recovery among darkness and crippling transportation.

President Obama released a note yesterday urging Americans to do their part by giving to relief organizations such as American Red Cross:
“It can be gut-wrenching to see the reports of what’s happening and feel like you can’t do anything to help.
“But it’s important to remember that you really can: Relief organizations like the American Red Cross are on the ground right now in the communities affected by the storm, and making a financial contribution to those efforts is the most effective way to help those in need.
So, if you’d like to help, please give to the American Red Cross right now:”
