What Kevin Hart lacks in size (which is just slightly above a second grader’s, j/k) he makes up for with his big heart. The famous comedian put it on display when he donated $250,000 to his hometown of Philly’s public schools, parks and community centers.  Check the video below to hear what made him open his fat wallet.

The money went towards buying 500 computers for schools and community centers in the city of brotherly love. And they surely need it considering that Pennsylvania’s governor recently released $45 million in federal funds to keep Philly schools afloat for the remaining school year. And have been operating with a shortage of school nurses, which was linked to one student’s asthma attack death in a school without a nurse.

Kevin visited four Philly schools today to deliver 300 laptops to students and 200 desktop computers to 27 Philly community centers, the AP reported.

“These computers will allow our students to expand their studies, explore new course material, and prepare for college and careers for years to come,” Superintendent William Hite.

Kevin–attendee of Philly public schools–said giving back was a major priority.

My city made me who I am today and for that I am thankful. I will make it my priority to help my city get out of this debt.

Good job, Kevin.
