Rapper Meek Mill is becoming the give- back champ these days. So you know he went big for Christmas.
I’m talkin’ $500K big. Meek Mill has donated $500K worth of Christmas gifts to needy families in Philly on Sunday.
The prison reform advocate showed brotherly love to native Philly by handing out winter coats, macbook, Amazon Fire HD tablets, bikes, helmets, dolls, board games and so much more.
Meek Mill organized the giveaway through his DreamChasers org and with support from Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Roc Nation, and Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin.
Philly mom Lasheya Wright told NBC10 she was trying to get her son an electronic gift.
“I’m trying to get him a laptop or like a tablet or something so he could play with it,” Lasheya shared.
Lasheya says the last two years have been hard and Meek’s giveaway couldn’t come at a better time.
“It’s great. I love it,” Wright said. “I love when people give back to the community. It’s the best.”
Meek’s Christmas giveaway comes on the heels of him donating $30K to Philly’s Twelve Days of Christmas org, which provides supplies to needy families during the holidays.
So here for Meek’s holiday generosity.
