If there was ever a time a laugh was needed…yeah…it’s about now.
Dave Chappelle brought it to a city that needed it the most: Buffalo, New York.
Dave Chappelle donated all the proceeds of his June 5th show at Shea’s Performing Arts Center in Buffalo to mass shooting victims families.
“He said, and I’m paraphrasing, (he) came here to Buffalo to recognize the victims and for these families,” said Kevin Sweeney, director of marketing and communications for Shea’s Performing Arts Center.
Some families of the Buffalo shooting attended the show.
If you can remember (how can you not?) a racist madman–and no he will not be named–targeted a predominantly Black grocery store, and carried out a mass shooting resulting in 10 slaughtered people.
Salute to Dave Chappelle for sending light to a dark situation.
